Donald Trump Taps John Whittaker as White House Director of…Something

PALM BEACH, FL- President-Elect Donald Trump has indicated his desire to include John Avery Whittaker among his staff picks for his upcoming four-year term.

Trump said he was “looking to fill a particular hole in the government, a moral hole.” He stated he didn’t quite know what Whit would do in the White House but that his presence would be enough and he would “figure out something.”

Evidently, Whittaker, also known as Whit, and Trump go far back. The two have been in contact ever since they ran into each other at a shopping center in Arlington, Virginia for respectively unspecified reasons.

We spoke to some Odyssey residents to scope their opinions on what would be a historic decision.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Whit left us again,” Bernard Walton, local window washer said. “To be honest, with the state of Odyssey these days, I’m surprised he hasn’t run off to a mission in China for six years already.”

We also talked to Connie Kendall, a longtime employee of whits. “No we can’t have Whit leave again! I’d have to run this shop all by myself! Oh! What if he closes the shop…it’s too much to think about…I’d have to find a new job and would have to move out of my house…” Kendall rambled like this for several more minutes in our interview with her.

“I hope he gets appointed as some sort of director of spiritual management. Our government needs Jesus,” atheist Renee Carter remarked.

At the time of posting, Mr. Whittaker was considering, but had not accepted, this position.

UPDATE- Dave Arnold, executive producer for Advemtures in Odyssey, has indicated this is how the team plans to eject Whit from the show in an episode that will air special on Inauguration Day.
