Hello, everyone! Allow me to share again how thankful I am for all your anniversary wishes this past week. Last year, the AWB anniversary primarily focused on the goal going forward. Today, this post is dedicated to much of the same. I’m going to share with you how we plan to execute this since this is already more than I ever imagined this website becoming. The question after four years is how this is going to keep running, let alone expand. Last year, the goal was to establish AIO Writer’s Block as a community. This year, you, the reader, saw a glimpse of the plan.

There were two keys to pulling off a successful anniversary like this one: working/writing ahead and regular communication. I told the few AIO Writer’s Block members there are now about this week and their roles as early as August, making for a smooth experience when this week finally arrived. On my end, I designed the Diamond Week logos almost a month ago. The What’s Odyssey episode questions were done around the same time. This is going to be a huge part of the format from now on. I didn’t really enforce any particular format or baseline, just that the creators involved post on the assigned days. As I covered in the midyear report, this website alone has produced a piece of content for almost every week of the year and a written post for every other week. So, for the first major announcement, all future AWB members will have to fulfill the qualification of producing one piece of written content per month. The end goal of AWB is to have a thriving, consistent, and cohesive fan writer and creator community. I’ve always prioritized allowing as much creative freedom as possible, and this allows it while also providing readers with fresh content. A week like this is actually surprisingly easy to pull off when everything is coordinated and set ahead of time.

Speaking of which, until now, new members have been introduced via an invite-only system. This will change starting today. By the end of this week, a form will be available so anyone can apply to join AIO Writer’s Block, expanding this community freely to people interested. If you are an AIO creator reading this and don’t think you want to join, I suggest filling out the form even if you are mildly interested. Speaking of joining AIO Writer’s Block, I’m also announcing the last member to be added to this group by exclusive invitation: Adventures for Odyssey Fans! The older creator of this site, David, reached out to me about the AIO Review site, which is still being developed. Again, every website has a purpose here. These two sites have leaned into the review aspect of things, which, if you read the last post, has been a real struggle for me in particular. I hope it will be able to capture the news element as well. I also think it’s important that this site is also built up to become the kind of community people want to join, that’s one of my personal goals.

The last bit of news for today is the updates of AIO Writer’s Block itself. In the interest of a better user experience, I’m experimenting with transitioning this site over to Wix. The new SONN website may also find its home there. You can see some sample images of what the website will give you an idea of what we’re going for.

It may look the same as the WordPress site, but Wix has a lot more creative handling and animation that adds loads of fluidity to the website on every page immediately accessible for me to work with. It’ll also allow for an AIO Writer’s Block app, and I’m really excited about its potential. The idea will be to have easy and access to any new content created on any of the AIO Writer’s Block websites. The main debate is whether I want to foot the extra bill necessary to switch to Wix rather than just going full premium on here. This is a great lead-in for the last announcement. On both What’s Odyssey and AWB, I’ve teased creating an AIO Writer’s Block merch store. Whether the site ends up switching to Wix or not, this store will be out with products by the end of the year. I’ll include a sample of what this will look like as well. I would appreciate any suggestions on merch you would like to see. A major one I’ve already started designing is the I’d Rather Be Listening to Odyssey™ brand, with flowing designs you’re sure to love. This will be our first brand of merch here, and I’m super excited. I’m sure Odyssey Fiction will be joining in with their own designs, too. Look out for the AIO Writer’s Block brand store to arrive with its first products around the end of November into December.

I hope you enjoyed this past week of an AIO Writer’s Block deluge. Once again, thank you to all of the creators who participated. I really couldn’t have done this without you. If you, the reader, liked this, let us know! You can also tell me what I should’ve done differently. I’m also so excited about all that’s coming in the last few months of 2024. Announcements for What’s Odyssey’s “Destruction of Truth” will finally start at the end of October. This is a full-length documentary that everyone needs to hear. I’m estimating the era one post will also arrive in a week and a half. Until then, ciao, and…

Keep up the fandom!

Great post, thanks for the great introduction. I’m so excited to be part of the AIO Writers Block community! I’m also excited for the merch! I’ll try to think of some ideas for it. How much does the Wix website cost monthly? Because if it’s a reasonable price and you can’t really beat an app, I might think of moving my site there. Thanks for making great posts!
