AIO Thought of the Week: Insightful, but lengthy. Read the full thought at the AIO Thought of the Week website.
It’s January, and thus the first newsletter of 2026! This also makes this the AIO Writer’s Block Newsletter’s second new year, which is truly amazing. Thank you for continuing to read along and for making this your center for regular Adventures in Odyssey news. Now let’s get into all that’s happened in the past two weeks.
Content of the Week
Ranking Adventures in Odyssey Christmas Episodes
The What’s Odyssey Podcast hit the ground running this year with the debut of a new variation of the popular AIO fan podcast. It also broke ground in the full-length video content, which will continue throughout the year, going into various AIO and miscellaneous topics. Watch the first one at the link above: a review of AIO’s Christmas episodes that commemorated the final day before Epiphany. The episodes will exclusively be available on Spotify before going to YouTube later on.
Elsewhere on the Block
AIO Writer’s Block Artificial Intelligence Policy
Though not a post outright, this organization is beginning 2026 by laying down the foundational guidelines relating to generative artificial intelligence. Polices like this help keep content organic and efficient. This applies to all current and future AWB members. We hope it’ll be the groundwork for other AI policies adopted by similar organizations based on written content.
What’s New in Odyssey?
January’s Club Episode…
Does not exist. That’s right, many keen-eyed users may have noticed that January 1st yielded no Club-exclusive episode. That’s because, as the Colorado Springs-based team has enumerated all throughout last year, all episodes going forward will be “Club-exclusive.” Here are the names of episodes we know will be released in January:
Knox on Money
Now Hiring
As Iron Sharpens Iron
The Prodigal Twin, Parts 1 and 2
Word in the Hallway
What’s the Catch
Album 81 Details
With that, let’s go into further details regarding Album 81 that came out through Wednesday’s official Adventures in Odyssey podcast. First, the name of the collection will be Never a Dull Moment, tracking with my prediction from the last newsletter. The episodes of the album will begin airing on the fifteenth. For full details on my personal predictions, see this newsletter.
Conclusion
A few summers ago, the host of the now-concluded Adventures in Opinions podcast was speculating about how much longer AIO could go on. This site did as well. Chris gave us our answer on Thursday. Adventures in Odyssey isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. As long as fans are invested, the fan pipeline keeps funneling, and Focus on the Family wills it, AIO will put out saga after saga, era after era, and feature films galore (for better or worse). The parallels between this moment and those from 2009 or 1996 ve a pile of content to include in this newsletter again. Lots is cooking in the final moments of 2025, so expect frequent publications from here until the end. We’ll see you soon!
