October Odyssey Content (2024 Edition)

This article is part of a series on Episode Guides.

Hello everyone! Today, I’ll be adding to the beginning of the list from Seasons Greetings, Odyssey Episodes and November Odyssey Content. This new post will include AIO Club links, as we’ve done with most of our content lists this year. We’ll go in order of holiday. For this shorter list, we won’t include Thanksgiving episodes or Adventures in Odyssey anniversary episodes but will stop at Election Day content.

You Dirty Rat

After this article was published, I forgot to include the October Club episode on this list. It involves Jillian and Connie on their own Adventure, a perspective we haven’t really gotten to dive into all that much, as I’ll explain in a post coming around the same time as this one. The opening also indicates that it’s set in fall, too!

A Predicament of Biblical Proportions

Bring Your Bible to School Day is one of the first major holidays in October! At the time of this post, it will be in just two days, so you can celebrate with this whimsical episode then!

Columbus: The Grand Voyage

Columbus Day is very quickly falling out of favor in public spaces, which is unfortunate since everything he did left an indelible mark on history and civilizations from Europe to Africa and, of course, the Americas. Adventures in Odyssey managed to make an episode for the occasion, reminding us of that impact. Columbus Day is on October 14th, but you can listen to this episode whenever you wish!

The Rydell Revelations, Parts 1, 2, and 3

No, this isn’t a fall-related episode, but AIO Writer’s Block’s fourth anniversary is only one week away, which we hope will be one of the biggest things we’ve ever done. For me, this set of episodes is an engraved reminder of how it all began here.

King of My Heart

Yes, it’s appeared on some of our lists before, I’m embarrassed to say, but homecoming season is here, so this is appropriate I believe.

Album 77: A New Perspective

For non-club members, Album 77 will be available on the radio starting this month! And if you want to re-listen, there’s no better time than the present.

Icky and Kat and Balty and Bones

A good October 31st episode, this legend-turned musical has a great twist and manages to work in a moral lesson, which means it had to make it on this list.

What Are Gonna Do About Halloween?

A classic October episode, this special gives some of the details surrounding the history of Halloween. On top of that, it provides alternatives that many churches and organizations have taken to doing today. It’s perfect way to wrap up the month!

Sunday Morning Scramble

This is a solid episode and aligns with the “fall back” time change that happens every November. It also serves as a great reminder of what church is all about and has the best end scene in AIO history.

The Election Deception

The most corrupt time of year is finally here, and that, of course, is elections. With politicians hammering at each other, it’s nice to have a toned-down take on the season. This episode is also above average, as most episodes are.

Parker for President

Continuing from the last one, Odyssey cooked up an interesting scenario involving the two older Parker children. It has another important message of how to deal with others during elections. This is also Morrie’s debut episode if you want to go down that rabbit trail.

Elsewhere Content:

It’s hard to believe Elsewhere in Odyssey began over two years ago! I think these October Strips are some of the most comical (pun intended), and the one with Eugene is pretty touching!

October 2022 Free Strip

October 2023 Free Strip

Well, that’s about the end of our content list for October (and part of November). If I missed anything, please be sure to let me know in the comments! Have a great fall!

  1. […] I missed before. Some of the episodes from the original article were cut due to their inclusion in the October guide. On top of this, when that article came out, the then-new Club was still fairly, well, new, so this […]
