November Odyssey Content Guide (2024 Edition)

This article is part of a series on Episode Guides.

Happy November! It’s time for our (now) monthly Adventures in Odyssey content guide. Unlike many others done this year, this episode list has actually already been done pretty well on this website. Because of that, many of the descriptions will remain unchanged from the last one, and there will only be a few small additions of things I missed before. Some of the episodes from the original article were cut due to their inclusion in the October guide. On top of this, when that article came out, the then-new Club was still fairly, well, new, so this new edition will include Club episode links.

November 2024 Club Episode

November’s Club episode is entitled “Express Salvation” and involves pivotal life decisions for both Wyatt and his mother. The episode actually raised a number of questions and discussions regarding both a clearly major character salvation event and the initiation of a Bridget conversion arc (though I would argue to call it an initiation). Even this website mentioned it on our Twitter page. Conversation aside, it has a strong moral backing and a military family spotlight just in time for Veterans’ Day.

The Price of Freedom

With so much controversy about the value of the United States, compared with the price people paid to birth it and defend its freedom, it hurts to see it denounced so easily. This episode reminds us that soldiers paid the price for the nation’s freedom and serves as a perfect Veterans’ Day episode.

East Winds, Raining, and The War Hero

Another great set of episodes to listen to this Veterans’ Day Weekend as we remember the sacrifice of people here, abroad, and no longer with us. I like to put these in the Joe Finneman double since they match up in format and character.

Other Veterans’ Day Episodes

Here are some other Veterans’ Day episodes to listen to for the remembrance day.

Adventures in Odyssey Anniversary Episodes

On November 21st, 1987, Whit’s Flop, the first season episode of Adventures in Odyssey, aired. Over the years, AIO has had multiple commemorations of this event and others, such as milestones achieved between that time and now. In AIO Wiki, these are labeled “Retrospective Episodes”. Here are a few of the most notable from over the years:

The Adventure of the Adventure

This was one of AIO’s first retrospective episodes, released long before the team thought it would be a multi-decades long enterprise, as once stated by Phil Lollar. Nonetheless, it’s a unique look into the past with some processes still in use today! Along with this is the next episode with a bit of the same theme.

A Look Back, Parts 1 and 2

Live at the 25!

500 and Inside the Studio

This guide will join these two episodes together as they were intentionally released sequentially. These episodes also bear significance as 2024 was the year AIO celebrated the doubling of this accomplishment back in August, coincidentally with an episode that will release in an upcoming episode.

Push the Red Button

This episode was released on the actual 25th anniversary of AIO in 2012 at a live show. It was also released to the public in The Grand Design, which is great, because it really is a hilarious episode with a solid moral.

30th Birthday Live Show

A documentation of the 2017 celebration of AIO’s 30th anniversary!

Thanksgiving Episodes

Thanksgiving week falls in November, and there is a whole slew of classic and new episodes focused on this holiday. (Canadians need not apply) Here’s a list of Thanksgiving Episodes:

Great episodes, especially the last two being Christmas spinoffs, which is a great lead for those already in the Christmas spirit.

Stepping Stones

This special Truth Chronicles episode is available in the Club. Though I haven’t listened to it in a while, I know it’s a great one and still is related to the topic of thanksgiving and the early Puritans moving to America.

Non-Audio Content

Imagination Station

“Problems in Plymouth”, the Imagination Station book, is already listed in the original article and is part of a storyline within that spinoff universe. As I said once before, it’s a great little read!

Elsewhere in Odyssey

The November free strip has come out for 2024! This edition involves Whit’s birthday. Because his birthday is mentioned as October 1st, it’s likely this strip was intended to be an October strip that was delayed. Other November monthly strips include:
